So, about that horse hair… I was asked once by a student if it was actually from a horse and whether the horse hair was like that found on Ebay for $50.
Is it horse hair? Well, at $50 a hank, I would want unicorn hair!
Perhaps not. A unicorn sounds even more expensive, but some sort of unicorn-horse hybrid, maybe. Or a really, really special horse who feeds only on the best of foods and has absolutely brilliant hair.
But seriously, yes, horse hair on your bow comes from an actual horse.
